FILLED | Practice Lead for Digital Marketing (Commerce and Content) Consulting Firm

We are in search of a Practice Lead for our clients digital marketing/content business. The Practice Lead will provide the intellectual leadership to the practice, which consists of research, voice of customer feedback and industry networking to understand the trends in the commerce and content (C and C) domain

Responsibilities Include:

    Collaborate with marketing, business development and service delivery teams to co-develop our client's go-to-market strategy and messaging for the C and C  practice and its offerings
    Collaborate with marketing and business units to identify marketing collateral needs, and then lead the effort to create same
    Collaborate with marketing and our PR agency to identify brand-building opportunities and author white papers, articles or other marcom materials to fulfill those opportunities
    Actively participate in social media to present our client's thought leadership and unique capabilities to the marketplace
    Collaborate with business units and service delivery teams to identify new service offerings; co-develop new offerings with service delivery teams; and develop launch plans with marketing
   Work with marketing and other practice leads to determine appropriate marketing mix, including conference/event participation, sponsorships, alliances, partnerships, etc.
    Collaborate with marketing and business development to plan for conference/event participation and then attend those events
    Collaborate with business development to pursue new opportunities within the C and C practice
    Create and deliver ongoing training to the business development teams, collaborating with the service delivery teams to cover all aspects of who, why, what, how of our C and C  offering
     Identify leaders in the C and C  ecosystem that provide partnering opportunities for our client, actively manage C and C oriented relationships
    Collaborate with the service delivery teams to provide competitive landscape and technology landscape understanding to the business development team


Candidate Profile | to be a good fit for this role you should have the following background:
     THOUGHT LEADER:  7-15 years of relevant work experience in the C&C domain, demonstrating extensive knowledge in omni-channel commerce, digital content & asset management, content marketing, digital demand generation & conversion rate optimization, digital commerce operations, online customer experience, data structures, and/or UX development
      Successful candidate has exposure to and knowledge of leading technologies in the aforementioned areas, such as Oracle ATG, hybris, IBM Websphere, Adobe CQ, Vignette, TeamSite, Endeca, etc.
      Ideal candidate has mix of digital agency/consulting and client-side experience, but experience working for a service provider/vendor a must
      Ideal candidate has experience as both practitioner and product manager/practice leader, but must understand the key differences of the practice leader role
      Successful candidate will demonstrate her/his ability to write marketing material, including collateral, white papers, trade articles, and social media posts
      Successful candidate will demonstrate ability to research topics/concepts relevant to the C and C  practice and to author cogent position papers
      Experience working in the outsourcing business is a plus, particularly offshoring to India
      Successful candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of how digital marketing organizations function, particularly for Fortune 500 or Internet Retailer Top 100 scale firms
      Successful candidate must demonstrate a track record of self-driven success and working with great autonomy.  They MUST feel comfortable working in a matrix organization and to operate fairly autonomously

      Candidate must be comfortable with travel, mostly domestic and mostly to support business development (up to 25%)


Our client is a publically traded global company.  This is a virtual role, but should be located in Bay Area for proximity to client base.
