Software Engineer (Banking) – San Francisco, CA

Our client, a reputable and leading bank, is seeking a new Software Engineer.  This role is responsible for building and maintaining customized applications for various business units.

The Software Engineer will be work with existing IS resources, internal business users, and external vendors to build and enhance applications based on the requirements from the business users as well as from Data Management.

Responsibilities:
-          Responsible for working with various business groups and product leads to assist in gathering business requirements necessary for implementing enhancements or additional features to new and existing application.
 -          Architect, design, develop, deploy, and support new features or enhancements per business needs. This includes user interface, business services and backend database work.
 -          Development of technical documentation.
 -          Design data models and databases.
 -          Work with Engineering to design and build infrastructure necessary to run the applications.

Requirements:
1.     Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to clearly define projects, objectives, goals, schedules and assignments.
2.     Good organization skills with strong attention to detail.
3.     Strong analytical thinking and excellent troubleshooting.
4.     Familiarity with project management and application development principles.
5.     Must possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6.     Experience working in a team development environment
7.     Strong experience developing on the Microsoft stack: C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Entity Framework, Workflow Foundation, and SQL Server.
8.     Experience building web UIs with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
9.     Familiarity with object oriented design principles, dependency injection, design patterns, and test driven development.
10.  Experience with Visual Studio 2013.
11.  Knowledge of financial services industry is strong plus.
12.  Experience with TFS is a plus.
13.  Degree in Management Information System or Computer Science a plus.


FILLED | Business Continuity Planner (Disaster Recovery) for Bank – New York City, NY


Our client, a leading bank with a stellar reputation, is seeking a new Business Continuity Planner for their New York City office.  This role is responsible for the development of advance arrangements and procedures to ensure the organization can recover its most critical functions and customer services within stated Recovery Time Objectives, incurring the minimum amount of loss, possible. 

This role will be responsible for the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning program, which  includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and testing (validation) of the overall disaster recovery plan for each critical functional area of the organization, as well as for the corporation as a whole. The Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning service must address three major elements of the recovery process: (1) the Emergency Response organization and the procedures for reacting to and coordinating recovery efforts; (2) the Recovery Support procedures for restoring key organization resources; and (3) the Business Resumption procedures for the continuation of critical business processes.

Requirements:

  • ·         Minimum of 10 years experience working with Information System recovery planning and systems support.
  • ·         BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • ·         Business Continuity and technical certifications strongly preferred.
  • ·         Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and software technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analysis.
  • ·         Ability to obtain a working knowledge of all areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the Bank’s key functional processes and critical customer services.
  • ·         Working knowledge of Internet, networking (LAN and WAN), data and voice telecommunications, and distributed computing in order to assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in these areas.
  • ·         Excellent written skills, and proven policy & procedures development capability.
  • ·         Exceptional interpersonal  skills to interface with managers and staff at all levels within the organization and to effectively manager vendor relationships related to record storage facilities and disaster recovery services.

Reporting to the SVP Sales and; Business Development, the Sales Director will drive revenue initiatives of complex, multimillion dollar, multi-year, SaaS deals with North American Financial Institutions. This is a strategic, executive sales position.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop and lead a sales strategy and account plan for Strategic and Target Accounts.
• Develop new opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking; follow up from inside sales generated leads.

• Superior contract negotiation skills; good at negotiating win-win agreements at the senior executive-levels.
MUST HAVE experience in selling systems to Financial Institutions.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree; MBA preferred.
• Significant travel within the selected geography.
• Computer literate. Competent in MS, Windows-based and SFA applications.
