We are in search of a Technical Marketing Engineer for our IT
Security products client.
This role can be in San Francisco Bay area or in the
Washington/Baltimore area
Job Summary:
As
a Technical Marketing Engineer you work cross-functionally to create technical
content for
products and solutions that are targeted to Customers, Field Tech Teams and
Partners. The
engineer will work closely with Product Management. Product Marketing, Services
as well as
Engineering on the company's current and future strategies related to their
specific area of
technical expertise. You may also work closely with third-party vendor
organizations as
required to achieve company goals in regards to product integration and best
practices.
Responsibilities include:

Ability to handle
customer and partner presentations independently; assistance/support needed
only in special cases. Presentations include road shows, customer
presentations, competitive sales presentation and other Technical collateral
·
Ownership of complex
projects and the ability to work across different functional groups including
product management (technical and business), services, customer support,
marketing, and engineering
·
Proactive support for
field/customers/partners
·
Lead and engage at
various internal/external forums and be viewed as the Subject Matter Expert for
the our products
·
Help drive business
strategy and adoption of our product, systems, solutions, competitive and
events through technical strength and leadership
·
Guides technical
direction and agendas both within company and with our Customer
·
Serves as a mentor and
role model guiding technical career development
Required Qualifications:
·
Excellent oral and
written communication skills
·
Understanding of IT
Security, Big Data (databases)
·
Typically requires
BSCS or BSEE or equivalent plus 7-10 years related experience.
·
CCIE and/or CISSP
certification highly desired
·
Demonstrated ability
to master multiple technology areas and create technical documents; White
Papers, Competitive Analysis, Customer Surveys, Flash or VOD Demo, POC/Demo
labs scripts.

Leverages
understanding of customer & market requirements to drive next
generation product architecture
·
A recognized expert in
technology areas within scope of multiple product lines, market segment or
competitor
·
Ability to engage on a
solution from a life cycle perspective and impact every phase of the solution
to help deliver an improved solution to the market. This would require the
ability to understand customer/partner deployments including issues and helping
them successfully deploy while translating those requirements for
PM/engineering teams

Recognized thought
leader with high business impact in the area of technology both internally and
externally
·
Evangelizes current
technical strategy and direction inside and outside company
