IT Consultants needed in Indianapolis

We are in search of well rounded IT Consultants that  are excellent at troubleshooting, problem solving, and can think on their feet.

These IT Consultants will be part of an established team and may be responsible for the day-to-day operations and project support for multiple clients. Duties range from managing servers to overseeing critical long-term projects, this person should enjoy working at all levels of the network and server stack. This includes networks, systems, and overall backend infrastructure for customers. The ideal individual enjoys being both strategic and hands-on in all aspects of clients’ technology infrastructure. The role will include installation and maintenance of local area network hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting of issues and supporting the helpdesk. The role requires expertise with MS-Windows Server 2012, 2008, 2003, WIN7, and XP. Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere experience is also desired.


Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the integrity and security of data, servers, devices, and software to support the database server, application servers, and storage systems of our clients’ businesses.
  • Maintain all primary internal systems, from email to file sharing, across our clients’ organizations
  • Manage testing, tuning, deploying, and supporting new Applications (security, business, productivity, etc.)
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of and updates to the disaster recovery plans for all mission critical infrastructures.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support for mobile workforce
  • Implement and maintain  Remote Access Systems (VPN, RDS, Citrix, VMware)
  • Support and maintain Phone Systems as needed
  • Manage security administration, ensuring all machines  are protected and properly updated with Endpoint Security, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Spyware, etc.. 
  • Maintain Domain Policies, DNS, DHCP and other integrated systems
  • Oversee virtual and physical infrastructure growth, ensuring performance meets expectations
  • Perform other responsibilities as required
Essential Functions:
  • Work with Application Vendors to implement and upgrade software
  • Assist with builds, updates, deployment of computers
  • Provide Level 3 support for Helpdesk team
  • Manage and deploy data backup solutions
  • Manage and deploy updates to Workstations/Servers to keep infrastructure current
  • Recommend and implement new hardware (Workstations, Cell Phones, Multi-Function devices, etc.) to improve clients’ functionality
Requirements:
  • 6 – 8 years of Network Engineer and Network Administration Experience
  • MCSA or higher certification desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • High level of self-motivation coupled with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and to provide after-hours support as necessary
  • Strong analytical abilities to solve technical problems
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all levels within clients’ organizations
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Backup Solutions (Backup Exec, Barracuda, MozyPro, Veeam, Windows Backup, etc)
  • Spam Filters (Hosted MxLogic, Postini, Forefront and Barracuda appliances)
  • Antivirus Software (Trend Micro, Symantec, Vipre, McAfee,Security Essentials)
  • Microsoft SharePoint administration
  • Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy
