Project Manager needed for Software Implementation Project in Indianapolis, IN

Summary of Role: Perform project-based management and support for a variety of technology and business process client initiatives. The project manager will be responsible for the success of concurrent multiple complex projects by managing the daily activities of assigned staff.

Essential Functions:
·         Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they address the appropriate business requirements and are completed on time as well as within budget and scope
o    Communicate with client executives from key functional areas to understand potential project impact on the organization, align project work, and execute activities accordingly
o    Coordinate utilization of subject matter experts as necessary to assist in the identification, validation, and resolution of business system needs.
o    Create and maintain project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, status updates, and resource allocation
o    Proactively evaluate project activities, build contingency plans, execute corrective action, and monitor issue resolution to mitigate risks such as scope and/or budget variances.
o    Communicate and negotiate effectively with client, assigned resources, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects
o    Manage project budget, including effective utilization of project resources
o    Provide delivery support to project team members as necessary
·         Direct development and execution of client deliverables; contribute content and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
·         Develop content for project proposals
·         Adhere to project management methodology by leveraging and promoting the use of existing tools, capturing best practices, and identifying areas for process improvement

Required Skills:
·         5-10 years of project management experience (PMP certification is a “nice to have”)
·         Familiarity with business technology tools and strategy
·         Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

·         Bachelor’s Degree
