FILLED | Software Industry analytics, insights & reporting expert

Our client is seeking a software industry super-star to bring industry digital marketing thinking to their analytics, insights & reporting practice as well as to provide an onsite presence to our traditional offshore delivery model.

The successful candidate will have an extensive understanding of the digital marketing operations of large software vendors, particularly in the use of data, analytics, reporting & insights to make critical marketing decisions.  He/she will also require an enthusiasm in working with our customers’ digital marketing stakeholders, acting as a key contributor to our delivery team.  Most importantly, the successful candidate will be a team player and collaborator within the the company.

This position will report to the Americas Business Unit Lead also based in San Francisco but will work with many areas of our business, including operations/service delivery, client engagement, business development, and practice development.  The Industry Consultant will mostly work with our customers, helping to design the best processes and approaches for providing marketing-critical decision support capability.  This role is critical to our client's sustained growth and continued success in the analytics, insights & reporting domain. 


Position Requirements
·         Manage a portfolio of analytics services across 1 or more customers, primarily in the software industry
·         Meet regularly with customers to understand requirements and objectives and convey them to company's offshore analysts who will manage data sets, build analysis models, customer-facing dashboards and reporting portals
·         Draw actionable recommendations in the form of market/customer intelligence, insights and statistics for the customer that align to the customer’s objectives and requirements
·         Serve as the expert analytical data strategist for customers and internal partners
·         Contribute to data visualization and data storytelling techniques and industry best practices
·         Audit deliverables to make sure that they are accurate and meet requirements by critically examining the data
·         Become the go-to person on analytics, insights & reporting for our customers
·         Collaborate with Client Engagement Manager and Ops team to identify expansion/cross-sell opportunities within assigned customer accounts
·         Collaborate with business development team to pursue new opportunities in the software industry


Candidate Profile
·         Successful candidate will have minimum 5 years at a leading software vendor (e.g., Adobe, Autodesk, Symantec, CA, Oracle, SAP, salesforce, etc.) in a digital marketing role as a consumer of analytics, insights & reporting
·         Successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of business processes for software industry, including marketing, sales, products/services, & customer support
·         Successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of key business metrics & drivers for sales & marketing success in software industry
·         Successful candidate must demonstrate strong communications skills, both written and spoken
·         Ideal candidate will have good knowledge of major analytics platforms, their business usage, performance metrics, reporting mechanisms, & best practices
·         Knowledge of Tableau, QlikView or other advanced visualization tools is a plus
·         Ideal candidate will understand how the shift to the cloud affects the software industry and our customers
·         Ideal candidate will have ability to create and deliver presentations to customer stakeholders and internal stakeholders

Our client is seeking a Seasoned Marketing Professional with expertise in Demand Generation. 


This Sr. Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and creating marketing campaigns and programs to drive demand.   The ideal candidate understands all forms of demand generation, and has invented a few of their own. You can identify high-potential target audiences, develop compelling offers, and encourage prospects to take action. You have a proven track record of driving end-to-end campaign strategy with a focus on tracking performance to measure progress against revenue goals.

Responsibilities


  • Develop demand creation strategy, customer targets, tactics and metrics to measure success
  • Develop strategies for inbound and outbound campaigns (e.g., webinars, SEM, social, paid search, content syndication, blog, display, web and email) to generate demand and increase qualified opportunities
  • Leverage marketing automation systems to support campaign execution (Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Manage effectiveness of each campaign by measuring and improving ROI
  • Effectively communicate plans and metrics regularly to marketing and sales leadership
  • Analyze industry trends, market conditions and competitors’ marketing tactics to offer recommendations on best ways to improve demand creation strategy



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related major, or equivalent related experience
  • 7+ years of inbound and outbound strategic marketing experience in a high-velocity B2B setting
  • Deep understanding of B2B demand generation by leveraging best practices to develop, capture and track leads
  • Go-to-market development plan capabilities, including successful launch planning, positioning, and execution
  • Demonstrated results in improving sales pipeline/funnel close ratios
  • Data-driven and can analyze campaign results to drive strategy
  • Understanding of SaaS applications, and business intelligence
  • Expert in marketing automation and CRM systems to drive results in an efficient and effective manner (i.e., Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills
  • Proven experience in developing trusted relationships with executives, with the ability to present persuasively to various stakeholders
  • Ability to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines with limited resources
