Our client is looking
for an energetic Senior Performance QA Engineer to join our
highly collaborative, experience engineering team. You will have the
opportunity to work closely with the development, data base, and IT teams to
test and benchmark application performance and drive continuous improvement of
the performance testing coverage.
This position is full
time and located in their HQ at Palo Alto, San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities:

Design and implement performance
measurement process
· Work closely with
the development, database, and IT teams to test and
benchmark application performance and drive toward
continuous improvement of the performance testing coverage
·
Determine test needs,
identify, plan and document tasks for performance test plans
·
Evaluate and select
performance test tools
·
Build performance test
environment and infrastructure
·
Design load, stress and
scalability testing to deliver comprehensive performance testing reports
·
Identify, create and maintain
the performance test data required to drive workloads
·
Design, develop and
execute performance tests in the early software development cycle to find any
performance roadblocks
Skills and Requirements:
·
7+ years of QA
experience
·
5+ years of performance
and load test experience
· Understanding of
performance test methodology, the SDLC, test environment and test data
management
·
Proven ability to work
under pressure and the ability to summarize and communicate metrics
· Capable to analyze the
test results, determine bottleneck and dependencies and provide recommendations
·
Proven work experience
and proficiency on:
Performance testing,
performance analysis, and developing application benchmarks
Performance engineering
and load testing
One and more performance
tools either open-source or commercial for web based cloud application
Testing multi-tiered web
applications
QA methodology and
process
·
Some experience with a
SaaS or other recurring revenue/service business model is a plus
