We are in search of a Network / Systems Engineer for our client in Burligname. The successful candidate must have a solid foundation of experience in building and supporting heterogeneous networks using following technologies: Web Servers [IIS and APACHE}, Windows 2008R2 Server, Linux, Virtualization(VMWare), Cisco PixOS(ASA), Cisco IOS(routers and switches), and MS SQL. You will be responsible for supporting integrations with client IT teams in all phases of integration including SSO technologies(SAML), secure file transfer programs that require scripting, and other data exchange from design to retirement. You will use your network design experience to maintain 2 remote datacenters with replicated VMs and databases supporting hundreds of VPN connected Windows machines. You should have a history of successfully supporting complex networks and be familiar with common protocols and interested in furthering your knowledge through research and solid testing methodologies. Your success also depends on your ability to quickly understand and work with a variety of unfamiliar technologies in a fast paced, team-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities | Defines solutions on a technical level to include:
• Analysis of technical project requirements documents received from clients
• The creation and documentation of general and detailed technical designs
• Maintain security certifications (SSAE16 and PCI) across networks and environments
• Provides technical expertise (Level 2 support) for teams in charge of client support for day-to-day operations
• Maintain evidence of required operations such as regular patching and log review
• Perform troubleshooting, working closely with business analysts and solution architects on system issues requiring client background and understanding of customer specific environments and requirements
• Provides technical support to end users.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Self-directed and results driven with demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and execute on executive strategies.
• BA/BS degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology along with a strong computer background, will be considered
• Excellent documentation skills with the demonstrated ability to create specification artifacts and present them to technical groups
• Prior IT support or client-interfacing experience
• Ability to remain positive in difficult situations
• Attentive to details, highly organized, and have ability to meet deadlines and multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
